1. About NumJam

NumJam is an online mental arithmetic game designed to help users challenge their speed, accuracy, and mental calculation skills.

NumJam provides both free features and a paid subscription called the Jam Plan.

The features available through NumJam may evolve over time as the service is improved.

2. User accounts

Some NumJam features require an account.

When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.

You must not impersonate another person, attempt to access another user's account, or use NumJam in a way that interferes with the service or other users.

NumJam may suspend or terminate accounts used fraudulently, abusively, or in violation of these Terms.

3. Free Plan

The Free Plan provides access to the core NumJam experience, including the features identified as free on the NumJam website.

Free features may include Easy mode, negative-number games, personal high scores, and social features.

An internet connection and a compatible web browser may be required to use the service.

4. Jam Plan

The Jam Plan is NumJam's paid subscription.

It provides additional features that may include Medium and Hard modes, score history, performance statistics, access to friends' high scores, and other premium or future features.

The current features and price of the Jam Plan are displayed on the NumJam Plans page before purchase.

Features marked as Coming soon are planned features and are not part of the functionality guaranteed to be available at the time of subscription. Their scope and release date may change.

5. Subscription and payment

The Jam Plan is offered as a recurring subscription at the price displayed during checkout.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. NumJam does not directly store your full payment-card information.

Unless otherwise stated during checkout, the subscription automatically renews at the applicable billing interval until cancelled.

You can manage your subscription and payment information through the billing management functionality provided by NumJam and Stripe.

Any applicable taxes will be handled according to the information presented during checkout and applicable law.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your Jam Plan through the available subscription management functionality.

Unless otherwise indicated, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You may continue using Jam features until that date.

After the subscription ends, your account will return to the Free Plan and features requiring an active Jam subscription will no longer be accessible.

Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or other consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

7. Scores and game statistics

NumJam may record information about games played through the service, including scores, difficulty levels, response times, correct and incorrect answers, and other gameplay statistics.

Scores and statistics are provided for entertainment, progression, and comparison purposes.

NumJam may correct or remove records resulting from bugs, manipulation, cheating, technical errors, or misuse of the service.

8. Friends and social features

NumJam may allow users to add other users as friends and, depending on their plan, access certain information such as friends' high scores or online status.

You must use these features respectfully and must not use NumJam to harass, threaten, impersonate, or otherwise abuse other users.

Additional social and multiplayer functionality may be introduced in the future.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse NumJam.

In particular, you must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to NumJam or another user's account
• Intentionally disrupt the service
• Exploit vulnerabilities
• Manipulate scores or game results
• Automate abusive requests
• Distribute malicious software through the service
• Use NumJam for unlawful purposes

Reasonable technical measures may be used to protect NumJam and its users against abuse.

10. Intellectual property

NumJam and its original content, branding, visual identity, software, game design, and other materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms give you permission to use NumJam for its intended personal use. They do not transfer ownership of NumJam or its intellectual property to you.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit protected NumJam materials without permission, except where permitted by law.

11. Service availability

NumJam is under continuous development.

While reasonable efforts are made to maintain a reliable service, uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, technical problems, security incidents, infrastructure failures, or updates may temporarily affect availability.

Features may also be modified, added, or discontinued as NumJam evolves.

Where changes materially affect a paid service or users' legal rights, they will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

12. Liability

NumJam is provided as a mental arithmetic game and entertainment service.

It should not be relied upon as professional, educational, financial, medical, or other specialist advice.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, NumJam is not responsible for losses resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

13. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated when NumJam changes, when new functionality is introduced, or when legal or regulatory requirements change.

The latest version will be made available through NumJam, together with its effective or last-updated date.

Where required, users will be informed of material changes before they take effect.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable French law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may apply based on the user's country of residence.
